We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Employee Health Clinician- Employee Health- Full Time 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM - Occupational Health Serv.
In this role, the successful candidate The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner promotes health and safety Complies with state and government regulations and accrediting standards by protecting patients visitors employees and physicians from communicable diseases Services include pre employment physicals screenings immunizations minor workplace injury and illness treatment and employee exposure to infectious disease counseling and follow up Maintains a system for health assessment and disease prevention detection and treatment
Job Responsibilities :
New Hires nbsp;
- New hire pre employment clearance including physical exam lab work TB screenings / chest rays and immunizations to ensure compliance with all hospital policies and regulatory agencies
- Documents results in electronic medical record
- Refer employees with identifiable limitations and / or health risks to appropriate resources

Minimum Qualifications :
To qualify you must have a Current Registered Nurse RN license in New York State NYS required Current Nurse Practitioner NP license in New York State NYS required Masters Degree in Nursing Current Basic Life Support BLS certification through the American Heart Association AHA National certification as a Nurse Practitioner NP through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners AANP or the American Nurses Credentialing Center ANCC Current New York State Infection Control training certification 3 5 years progressive experience in Nursing and healthcare preferably in a management role Ability to perform venipuncture Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail Strong Interpersonal and Organizational skills The analytical skills necessary to respond to any complex patient or personnel complication related to clinical presentation Demonstrates the ability to perform clinical / technical / service / administrative tasks Demonstrates knowledge of Hospital and Occupational Health policies and procedures and implements them in the delivery of medical services Demonstrates the ability to utilize computers and computer software to input and access patient information and general reports required for patient treatment and compliance status within Occupational Health Provides for the safety of patients staff and other employees and visitors in the clinical environment Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical psychosocial educational safety and related criteria appropriate to the employee / patients who present in OHS Proactively demonstrates responsibility and accountability for the timely and complete management report and tracking of clinical results Maintains security of confidential patient information and tools necessary to provide operational and clinical services Keeps documentation required for patient services and data entry secure organized up to date Utilizes time in an efficient organized manner while maintaining sensitivity to the need for patients to have sufficient time to communicate effectively Proactively participates in expansion and improvement of Occupational Health Services operations on a fluctuating schedule May be required to perform other duties as assigned or perform other duties when necessary Respects patient confidentiality privacy and dignity.

Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $95,790.00 - $161,658.50 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses / incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
