CT Technologist Trainee - *Per Diem/Garden City

Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a CT Technologist - NYU Langone Ambulatory Care / Radiology - Garden City.

In this role, the successful candidate will observe and work directly with a CT technologist to assist in performing medically prescribed CT procedures of designated anatomical areas, under the general direction of the radiologist and supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates knowledge of the HIS and RIS systems as they relate to radiology
• Under direct supervision of a CT technologist, demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance procedure
• Under direct supervision of a CT technologist, assists in patent procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards
• Effectively assesses patient’s information and status, and works directly with a CT technologist to follow appropriate procedures accordingly
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must be obtaining an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Sciences. 

Preferred Licenses: Radiologic TechLic IV-Cert-NYS

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $16.50 - $16.50 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
