Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a EEG Technologist, EEG Lab.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for routine EEG, simple studies and the associated administrative paperwork. Under close supervision of a physician or a more senior technologist, may perform critical or complex studies for immediate diagnosis, as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs routine EEG studies. Adheres to laboratory guidelines for impedance testing and montage selection.
• Collects information on the patient's history, current medications, and a description of current seizures for the technical report.
• Completes appropriate paperwork for each patient including those required for department statistical and billing purposes. Ensure reports are accurate and prepared timely for the physician to review.
• Reviews studies performed with supervising physician on a regular basis.
• Participates in conferences related to EEG in the department.
• Cleans electrodes and maintains equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a High School required. Current and valid BLS or CPR Certification is required. ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists) EEG certification within 5 years of hire for all hires on or after 1/1/16. (1) year performing EEG studies OR completion of an accredited or formalized program OR a bachelors degree in a related field. Strong communication skills are required..

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $77,369.71 - $89,362.33 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
