What are the responsibilities and job description for the Palliative Care Attending Physician position at NYU Langone?
The NYU Langone Medical Center is seeking a full-time palliative care physician to join the rapidly growing Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Care. Major clinical responsibilities include attending on the inpatient consult service at Tisch Hospital. We feature strong multidisciplinary teams within a growing academic division with multiple opportunities for career development.
Features of this position include:
- Substantial opportunities for teaching, including supervision of fellows, house staff and medical students
- Leadership opportunities within performance measurement/quality improvement
- Potential role in the hospice and palliative medicine fellowship for the appropriate candidate
- Possible research collaborations with geriatrics, emergency medicine, nephrology, oncology, cardiology, transplant and population health
- Board certified or eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine required
- Candidates dual-boarded in Geriatrics and Palliative Care are strongly encouraged to apply
