Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pharmacy Analyst - 340B Program and Pharmacy Business & Analytics.
In this role, the successful candidate This position monitors and manages the 340B Drug Pricing Program operational compliance for NYU Langone Hospitals. Responsibilities of this position may include but is not limited to: include inventory reconciliation, split-billing software management, compliance audits and optimization of the 340B Drug Pricing Program. The 340B analyst will work closely with the pharmacy department, particularly the 340B team, to help identify areas of improvement as well as be a key resource for 340B related information.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the appropriate procurement and/or recommendation of 340B, GPO and WAC purchased items
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Provide education to staff on policies and procedures related to inventory management and 340B procedures, as appropriate
- Develop proper 340B quality assurance training for employees as appropriate
- Monitor, report, and analyze contract pharmacy 340B activities
- Maintain copies of reports for compliance and audit purposes
- Develop and/or maintain reports that can be used to educate staff and assist management in tracking overall 340B Program Compliance and financial impact to the organization
- Help identify opportunities for pharmacy business and analytics
- Evaluate and implement cost savings opportunities by working closely with Pharmacy department personnel
- Identify instances of missed 340B accumulations through automated-dispensing cabinet usage and manual chart reviews
- Help manage daily operational needs as it pertains to our third party administrator
- Upload manual invoice files and accumulations as needed
- Maintain current charge description master NDC mapping ratios
- Conduct necessary reviews and corrections on medication charges and configurations
- Perform quality assurance checks on pharmacy charges
- Conduct 340B associated compliance audits and monitoring
- Review inventory to prevent 340B diversion and GPO Prohibition
- Review inventory to ensure aligns with accumulations, utilization and purchase invoices
- Review outpatient retail-pharmacy claims for 340B appropriate accumulations
- Review inpatient and outpatient hospital charges for appropriate 340B/GPO/WAC account accumulations
- Help oversee inventory management of 340B purchased items in both physical inventories, virtual inventories and automated-dispensing cabinets and contract pharmacies
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Degree(s) in Healthcare administration, Computer Science, Allied-Health profession, Business Management or other related field
Experience in business operations, contracting, and purchasing analysis
Highly knowledgeable and proficient in usage of Microsoft software with emphasis in data analytics.
Effectively communicates with others throughout the NYULH system and externally to gather necessary information for conducting analysis and making informed and appropriate recommendations.
Required Licenses: Cert Pharmacy Technician, Cert Pharmacy Technician
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare administration, Computer Science, Allied-Health profession, Business Management or other related field
Supply chain experience in an acute care hospital setting
Pharmacy technician certification or completion within 1 year of hire date
340B University OnDemand
Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or similar
