Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Substitute.

In this role, the successful candidate All classroom substitutes work in a needed basis The shift will vary from day to day base on the needs of the classroom they are assigned to work Shifts can be full day 8 hours half day 4hours or less than half day with a minimum of 2 hours once they clock in to work

Job Responsibilities:

1. Help to serve all meals amp; snack assist children with eating clean up of child and eating area
2. Keep classroom clean following specific cleaning checklist posted in each classroom
3. Attend to all physical and emotional needs of the children in a developmentally appropriate manner
4. Check children rsquo;s supplies and inform parent when more are needed
5. Communicate thoroughly and regularly with the parents regarding all aspects of their child rsquo;s activities and development
6. Help maintain daily attendance sign in sheets and roll book
7. Change diapers and/or assist with toileting
8. nbsp;Interact with the children: sit on the floor to play with them read to them etc
9. nbsp;Hold and carry children when extra comfort is needed
10. nbsp;Attend to minor bumps and bruises simple first aid
11. nbsp;Maintain calm positive manner in all communications: with children co

nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; workers and parents

1. nbsp;Support other staff members as needed
2. nbsp;Keep toys clean and in good working order; discard broken items; inform director of needs for classroom toys/equipment
3. nbsp;Upon arrival greet all parents and children; assist with settling child into the classroom
4. nbsp;Maintain a cubby and drawer in orderly fashion for each child with his/her name clearly displayed
5. nbsp;On occasion help with administrative duties answering phones door security etc and other miscellaneous programmatic needs

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Ability to read and write English Ability to follow oral written directions Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Health and Safety Trainings Previous work Experience in Childcare

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $30.00 - $16.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
