Position Summary :
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Educator, Oasis - Home Health Care, Per Diem
- COS- Certification HIGHLY PREFERRED!!!
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for analyzing data integrity and consistency of OASIS documentation and assessment processes. Educates / works with clinical staff to clarify documentation and data integrity issues. Ensures appropriate coding and sequencing.
Job Responsibilities :
Minimum Qualifications :
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree Nursing. Current and valid NYS Registered Professional Nurse license and registration. 1-2 years Home Health care experience. Working knowledge of CMS OASIS and ICD-10 Coding requirements. Knowledge of Federal and NYS Department of Health regulations. Knowledge of The Joint Commission requirements. Able to promote and strengthen continuous quality improvement concepts. Working knowledge of computer systems and electronic medical record. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Critical thinking Meticulous attention to detail.
Required Licenses : Registered Nurse License-NYS
Preferred Qualifications :
OASIS-C Certification. COS-C ICD-10 Certification. HCS-D. 1-2 years OASIS review / Coding experience in a Home Health agency.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
