Responsibilities
- Take raw materials and turn them into finished products by cutting, bending, welding, and shaping metal.
- Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine product specifications and dimensions.
- Familiar with power and hand tools, such as grinders, saws, and drills, to shape and cut metal pieces to fit specific designs.
- Familiar with specialized welding machines, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welders.
- Assemble jigs and fixtures to hold and support the work piece during the fabrication process.
- Inspect and test finished products for defects and ensure they meet industry quality standards and customer requirements.
