Detail Coordinator

Job Type: Full-Time
Hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 am (Monday to Friday)
We are seeking a Detail Coordinator to join our dynamic team at [Dealership Group Name]. This position plays a critical role in preparing and inspecting trade-in vehicles that come through our dedicated cleaning and photography center. The Detail Coordinator will ensure that all vehicles are properly checked in, cleaned, and documented and will serve as a communication hub between our different stores and the detail shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Check-In:
- Receive and check in trade-in vehicles from our six dealership locations.
- Confirm vehicle details (make, model, VIN, etc.) and ensure proper documentation is provided.
- Ensure vehicles are assigned to the appropriate detail team for cleaning and inspection.
- Inspection and Quality Control (assistant role):
- Inspect completed vehicles to ensure the quality of work (cleaning, photography, etc.) is up to par.
- Address and resolve any quality issues or discrepancies with the vehicles, coordinating necessary actions with the detail team.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as the main point of contact between the detail shop and store managers at all locations.
- Provide regular updates to store managers about the status of vehicles in the detail process.
- Respond to inquiries from store managers and address any questions or concerns regarding vehicle preparation.
- Documentation and Tracking:
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle progress, including status updates and any issues that arise during the process.
- Assist in tracking and managing vehicle turnaround times to ensure efficient workflows.
- Additional Duties:
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the detail process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in automotive detailing, inventory management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple teams.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for tracking and reporting vehicle statuses.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
