Mon, Thurs, Fri: 11:00 am-9:00 pm
Tues, Wed: 12:00 noon - 9:00 pm
Work hours can be extended based on workload received from customers.
About the position: This is a full-time, fully benefited, entry-level position in our Model Production department. You will learn how to create models of teeth that are used to fabricate crowns, bridges, and other dental restorations, restoring patient smiles and enhancing their dental health. Opportunities to advance to higher levels, learn other dental technician specialties, or work an earlier shift may become available over time, based on employee interest and business need.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Level I (Afternoon Shift)
- *Demonstrates understanding of dental terms and basic dental anatomy.
- *Reads and interprets dental prosthetic prescriptions and preferences.
- *Accurately pours model work from patients’ impressions.
- *Lines crown in pick-up impressions with thin wax layer.
- *Grinds model work to remove excess stone.
- *Unboxes and disinfects incoming casework.
- *Tracks and barcodes work using case tracking software.
- *Performs lab closing duties.
- *Effectively prioritizes cases.
- Other duties, as assigned.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED
- Stand mixer, vibration plates, belt grinder, disc grinder, small lathe, router, electric hand piece, auto batcher, pindex machine, small hand tools, electric model saw, hand saw, steamer, hydrocolloid machine, computer tablet.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is performed in a temperature controlled environment. Continuous exposure to dust and noise.
- Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination. Continuously use arms, wrists, hands, and feet to grasp/squeeze tools and operate a foot control.
- Continuously perform work at sitting and standing workstations and walk between stations and departments. Occasionally walk on uneven surfaces.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds. Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally bend, twist, crouch, kneel, and reach from ground to above shoulder height.
