Job Summary
As a ready mix loader operator/maintenance, you will operate a heavy diesel equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining the materials in a concrete plant. On site, you will maneuver the equipment appropriately to feed the concrete mixture to designated areas.
Job Requirements
- Must adhere to safety requirements and procedures and wearing of required safety equipment and clothing
- Must be at work at the appointed time ready to start with proper safety attire and equipment.
- Punch a time clock
- Required to work Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday.
Physical Demands
- Moderate to Strenuous work. Must be able to climb in and out of the equipment many times a day.
- Must climb a ladder on the back of the truck. Ladder is used to check the concrete and carry things to be added to the load.
- Operating of hand tools
- Extended periods of sitting while driving to/from job sites with constant vibration and motion, typically less than 30 minutes but could be an hour or more.
- Must wash and clean their equipment. This requires a fair amount of climbing on the equipment.
- Requires working in hot (90° F ) and cold (32° F-) temperatures.
- Requires walking on terrain that may be uneven, muddy and slippery.
- Exposure to sounds and noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable
- Exposure to diesel exhaust, dust and water mist or vapor
- Variable lighting conditions, dependent upon available natural light.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment, including loaders and forklifts, to transport materials within the concrete plant.
- Load and unload concrete mixers, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
- Assist in fabricating and finishing concrete products, adhering to quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily operations and meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety regulations.
