We have an immediate opening for a full-time Commercial Plumbing/ Process Piping Estimator to join our expanding team in San Jose, CA!!

Pay Scale: $145k

Schedule: Monday - Friday work week with some schedule flexibility

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Estimate projects ($5M and under).
• Manage bids from pre-bid to post-award.
• Provide detailed recaps to review with management before bidding.
• Collaborate with HVAC estimator on combo project pursuits.
• Assist in the development of the project schedule of values and construction tasks.
• Attend bid walks and/or bid meetings
• Assist project managers with change order estimating and compilation.
• Assist in material pricing and buyout.
• Assist field management in various support operations.
• Maintain a record of individual bids with win/loss records.
• Work with upper management to assist in developing bidding strategies.
• Other various tasks assigned by upper management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial estimating (plumbing experience is required, and HVAC experience would be a plus)
• Intermediate or Advanced experience with the computer (especially MS Office products)
• Familiar with software such as FastPIPE & BlueBeam
• Ability to create recaps spreadsheets with formulas.
• Ability to work independently and know when to consult other members of the team
• Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
