This position will be part of a manufacturing support team that refines precious metals and fabricates gold & non-gold alloys into sheets & grains. This team also monitors and controls plating chemical quality and provides environmental support for our wastewater treatment program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and laboratory work but would also help with the refining and metal fabrication tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform chemical & metal analyses, record and interpret data accurately, and implement adjustments when needed.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including XRF analyzer, ICP, atomic absorption spectrometer, fire assay equipment.
- Ability to work in refinery & metal fabrication areas including incineration, gas-furnace melting, casting, metal sheet rolling, metal graining, and wastewater management. Some heaving lifting is required.
- Must pass annual physical exam and participate in our HAZWOPER team.
