Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this talented and experienced Staff Accountant will support the accounting functions in a dynamic roofing company. This individual will be performing detailed accounting and reporting activities, including making daily transactional journal entries to the general ledger, preparing monthly closing entries, completing account reconciliations, calculating bonuses/commissions and assisting with payroll. This position will work from an office in Burr Ridge, IL.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end closing functions, including preparing and posting journal entries
- Accounts payable and vendor management
- Credit Card Reconciliations
- Bank Reconciliations and postings
- Commission calculations
- Review fixed asset transactions, including capitalization and depreciation entries
- Cash Flow forecast assistance
- Projects as assigned
Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts in an organized manner

- Delivers on commitments, strong follow-up skills with consistency between words and actions
- Highly organized, results driven, comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team
- Knowledge of accounting systems, QuickBooks experience a plus
- Ambition to continue to grow in knowledge and experiences
Education / Experience:
- Degree in Accounting and knowledge of GAAP required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial functions and/or analytical roles
- Proven communication, organizational and collaboration skills
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
