Job Summary:
O'Donnell/Snider Construction is looking to hire Project Engineers that will assist Project Managers with activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financial set-up/updates, and schedule to ensure projects are completed in a safe, accurate and profitable manner meeting all client expectations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist with the project safety and safety data (when required by project demands)
Fully understand the drawings and specifications
Assist with job start-up and subcontractor kick-off meetings
Assist Project Manager with estimates, bidding new jobs, and/or CR's
Understand the requirements of the owner contract
Verify that all subcontractors and vendors have the appropriate insurance coverage
Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders
Distribute drawings for project start-up, RFI's, ASI's, etc.
File legal project documents and initiate permit process
Maintain and update the project schedule as required with Superintendent
Review and process all submittals and shop drawings as well as maintain submittal logs
Execute and track all change orders
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management degree or pursuing a degree in Construction Management
Zero to two years experience in the construction industry, preferably in commercial
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
