Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and versatile individuals to join our event crew in a multifaceted role encompassing Stagehand, Event Staff, and Concessions responsibilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in various aspects of live event production, from setting up the stage and assisting with technical aspects to interacting with guests and ensuring a positive event experience. You'll be a crucial part of creating successful and enjoyable events for our patrons.
Responsibilities:
Stagehand Duties:
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment from trucks and storage areas
- Operate forklifts and scissor lifts to move equipment and materials (if qualified)
- Set up and strike stage sets, including assembling risers, platforms, and other stage elements
- Position and secure lighting equipment, sound systems, and backline instruments
- Assist with rigging and flying of stage elements, lighting, and sound equipment (if qualified)
- Run cables and connect audio/visual components
- Assist with stage changes and prop management during performances
- Troubleshoot technical issues and perform basic repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized backstage area
Event Staff Duties:
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including arranging seating, tables, and décor
- Greet guests, scan tickets, and provide directions
- Assist with crowd control and ensure event safety
- Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance as needed
- Assist with merchandise sales and other event operations
- Maintain a clean and organized event space
Concessions Duties:
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain stock and replenish supplies as needed
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols
- Assist with cleaning and organizing the concessions area
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in any of the following areas is preferred but not required: stagehand, event staff, customer service, food service
- Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and/or rigging is highly desired (for Stagehand duties)
- Possession of valid forklift and/or scissor lift certification is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Basic knowledge of stage lighting, sound, and rigging is a plus (for Stagehand duties)
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $13.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
