The propane Service Technician will install and troubleshoot propane equipment and provide related services in a safe, efficient manner that maximizes customer satisfaction and sales. This position would include the safe delivery of bulk propane to customer sites efficiently following all company and mandated protocols. You also may be required to test propane systems to check for leaks.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver, set and install propane tanks
• Perform propane tank surveys
• Install and pressure test gas service lines to make sure system passes all state & local installation/permit requirements
• Perform repairs and adjustments on propane equipment
• Examine regulators, gas lines and appliance connections for possible defects or gas leaks
• Assist in repairs and installations to customers' heating and air conditioning equipment
• Assist in performing annual maintenance/efficiency tune-ups
• Must be responsible for Company truck, tools and inventory
• Work effectively with other Service Technicians and support team
• Ensure timely and safe performance of service calls
• Perform administrative duties related to service calls in a timely manner
• Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, on a daily basis, while ensuring environmental compliance on every call
• Make delivery of bulk propane products to customer sites in compliance with state and federal regulations and all company operational and safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• CDL class A or B with a clean driving record.
• Hazmat, and Tanker endorsements required (or ability to acquire them)
• Current DOT medical card
• Must meet all DOT requirements including a road test, physical, and drug screen
• 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
• Past fuel/oil delivery experience preferred but not required

Skills/Abilities:

• Proven work experience in the HVAC, Propane, and/or oil industry as a licensed service technician (highly preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of propane (LP) systems
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Ability to solve problems and repair equipment on site
• Ability to use provided technology devices
• Ability to work independently and be familiar with the local area
• Possess basic math skills, organizational skills, and be a team player
• Customer service oriented
