Primary Function :
Fully competent project engineer in all conventional aspects. Plan and conduct the research and / or
development of projects, processes, procedures and new equipment. Assignments have general
technical objectives, requiring mature judgment in the application of engineering techniques or
developing innovative approaches to problems encountered.
Tools and Equipment :
Bridgeport mills, drill press, band saw, lathe, various measuring instruments, indicators, fixtures, etc.
Working Procedure :
Under the guidance and direction of the Tool Room Manager and the Process Engineer Manager the Intern shall :
THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL MAJOR JOB DUTIES BUT THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT PRECLUDE THE PERFORMANCE OF
OTHER DUTIES BY THE INCUMBENT.
1 Able to plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of work in a major projects.
2 Research, design, explore and develop new technology and projects to stay abreast / ahead
of the latest engineering developments that could benefit the Company and make
recommendations as to adoption and implementation of feasible items.
3 Performs conventional engineering practice, but may include a variety of complex features
such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult
coordination requirements. Work requires knowledge of principles and practices of related
specialties. Problems may be characterized by their lack of engineering precedents.
4 Reviews, develops and generates improvements in equipment, product flow, projects, tooling and
methods in all production departments to improve safety, production, quality and efficiency.
5 Works and communicates effectively with a wide range of functional disciplines and levels of
management.
6 Coordinates all aspects of the cost reduction program.
7 Assists in providing accurate methods and rates on all production releases and reviews in-process
capabilities.
8 Independently performs cost analysis as to the general results expected. Receives prior approval
on proposed plans for projects.

10 May supervise other engineers or technicians on assigned projects.
11 Observe the Company code of conduct, safety and quality principles.
12 Perform other duties as required.
Work Environment :
Machine shop working conditions, where hot chips, band saw blades, and other machinery require
diligence and care.
Special Skills Required :
Engineering degree and / or three 3 years of related experience, preferably in the Investment Casting
Industry.
Knowledge and demonstrated ability in mechanical design principles and disciplines : Employed
manufacturing process; statistical analysis (data correlation); technical report and article
preparation; preparing specifications and schematics; ability to define, plan, develop prototypes and
complete major projects.
Good communicative skills.
Above average computer skills required.
