Job Overview
We are seeking friendly and efficient Cashiers to join our customer service team. The ideal candidate will have experience cashiering in a retail setting and possess a warm demeanor, collaborative mindset, and excellent time management skills. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions, and ensuring a clean and organized work area. You will assist other team members in maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, stocking items, and directing customers to products.
Duties
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with their needs.
- Responsible for communicating store promotions and rewards program to customers.
- Be familiar with the store layout and guide customers to product categories they are looking for.
- Assist in restocking shelves, facing, and organizing merchandise as needed.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions responsibly while ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
- Assist team members with side work such as date checking, dusting, and maintaining store cleaniness.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a retail store setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with and enthusiasm for nutrition and natural health and wellness products is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards helping customers.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays as needed.
- Must be able to stand for length of shift with the exception of scheduled breaks.
