Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) to join our team. As an LAC at O'Leary Counseling, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality counseling services to clients, helping them navigate challenges and achieve personal growth and positive outcomes. This position offers the flexibility of hybrid work. While you are in complete charge of your own schedule, we are looking for someone with weeknight and possibly weekend hours as these are in most demand. Supervision is provided. A caseload of 30 clients is required.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual, couples, and family counseling sessions both in-person and via telehealth. We serve anyone from age 5 to seniors and all diverse populations.
- Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans based on their needs and goals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Attend regular team meetings and training sessions in our Barrington office.
- Maintain active licensure and adhere to all professional and ethical guidelines.
- Continuously strive to improve counseling skills and stay updated on best practices.
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey LAC license is required.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
- Empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Technologically proficient for remote counseling sessions.
