The Practice Analyst will play a key role in supporting the strategic and operational objectives of the firm's legal project management efforts. This position supports the Practice Managers in ensuring the efficient delivery of legal services through budget management, Outside Counsel Guideline (OCGs) compliance, pricing, and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the Practice Analyst will support strategic initiatives and handle day-to-day tasks involved with supporting the firm’s Litigation and Corporate Departments.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Track performance against budgets, including weekly client reporting on changes in scope, accruals, and other performance metrics.
- Assist in the preparation of work plans and evaluate resources for matter teams.
- Create financial reports for matters teams relating to attorney utilization, client and matter profitability.
- Monitor progress against economic targets and goals, initiating follow-up as needed.
- Analyze client performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Assess the profitability of both traditional hourly and alternative fee arrangements.
- Perform ad hoc projects and analyses as directed by the Practice Managers.
- Support the strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations of the Litigation and Corporate Departments.
- Possess excellent analytic and problem solving skills, with the ability to think on his/her feet in a fast paced environment, anticipate requirements, and consistently deliver exceptional customer service;
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with Finance, Pricing/Strategic Analytics, and Client Development;
- Have excellent project management skills;
- Be organized, able to multi-task, manage time well, and work independently;
- Exhibit superior attention to detail and pride in high quality deliverables;
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced team and be motivated to continually learn and improve results;
- Have excellent experience with Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word and Outlook, experience with databases a plus;
- Have 2 to 5 years of experience in practice management, financial analysis, or similar discipline, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment; and
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
