Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education( early childhood education/ experience is a plus) and a love for teaching children. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a love for music, and providing students with the skills they need to succeed in their musical endeavors. The Music Teacher will work with students of various ages, including preschool children, and will incorporate elements of dance and movement into the curriculum when appropriate.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the musical interests and abilities of students.
- Teach foundenmantal classes: singalong, music theory, and instrumental skills in a fun and engaging manner.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
- Organize and lead group activities, including music performances and recitals.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate music into broader educational programs.
- Maintain classroom organization and ensure all materials are available for lessons.
- Engage with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
Skills
- Strong background in music education with experience teaching children.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to various age groups, including preschoolers.
- Experience in dance or ballet is a plus, enhancing the integration of movement into music education.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and motivate students.
