Duties and Responsibilities
- Creation and verification of setups, fixtures, and programs for NC machines and offline processes.
- Assist in the training of production employees on setups, fixtures, and machine operations.
- Trouble shooting and applications assistance on machining, burning, forming, and welding processes.
- Process improvement identification and implementation.
- Modeling and exportation of new parts and rev changes.
- Assists the Manufacturing Engineer with developing, managing, and implementing projects as needed.
- Assists and guides others on the team to meet project specifications.
- Assists engineers in maintaining tool crib. Stocking and issuing of consumable inventory.
- Assists with other projects assigned from manufacturing engineers or management team.
- Assists in the analysis of space requirements, preparation of layouts for new equipment and projects, and evaluation of flow of materials to improve operating efficiency and reduction of errors.
- Maintains engineering / fixture building area, including but is not limited to cleaning, PM equipment, and keeping the area organized.
- Responsible for providing error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of the position.
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, handle special projects, perform clerical tasks, and assist in other departments including Quality Assurance and Production.
- Responsible for completion of all required steps in a timely manner to allow for coordination with other departments.
- Documentation of all tasks in ERP system for traceability.
