POSITION SUMMARY :
The Application Engineer II is responsible for the technical design and implementation of a specific set of technical tasks. This role will require the individual to possess, demonstrate, and adeptly use an established technical strength to complete job requirements. In this role, the individual will continue to learn and hone technical skills by working with and learning from co-workers and maintaining a commitment to self-study and participation in relevant training. Individuals will produce a quality product based on customer guidelines and company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Ensures individual technical commitments and deadlines are met and helps team members when technical assistance is necessary
- Develops clean, well-designed, and high-quality code
- Applies recommended design patterns and adheres to coding best practices
- Consistently designs and develops clean code
- Assists in providing technical support to team members, as necessary
- Recommends continuous improvement initiatives
- Works with other technical team members to ensure data integrity and technical execution are of exceptional quality
- Thinks broadly about designing and developing to achieve better performance, quality user experience, and significant code reuse
- Ensures deadlines and commitments are met according to customer requirements and established company policies and procedures
- Will occasionally act as a senior developer for specific technical work assignment(s) the application engineers specialize in supporting
- Performs any other job-related instructions, as requested with reasonable accommodation
- Technology based publishing experience. Will support XSLT / XSL-FO tactical work
and long term strategy to modernize publishing platforms. Will also support SaaS
team in terms of use case development, user story mapping, and usability.
