Summary
The Senior Manager Postal Strategy is responsible for leveraging extensive postal operations knowledge to create a more efficient and revenue generating Postal Operation. This role requires at least 18 years of combined experience in postal management and client relationship roles, ensuring compliance, optimizing mailing solutions, and enhancing client engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize in-depth understanding of USPS guidelines and standards to develop client solutions for increased utilization of postal incentives.
- Develop and implement strategic and efficient mailing solutions that align with client objectives and postal regulations.
- Creates new postal revenue streams for the Company.
- Identify and resolve complex issues related to mail processing, delivery and reporting, enhancing overall client satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in postal regulations and communicate these changes to clients and internal teams.
- Partner with Client Account Teams to ensure continued client satisfaction and reduce postal spend as percentage of overall revenue.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or experience equivalent
- At least 18 years of combined experience in postal operations management (such as a Postmaster role) and client relationship.
Preferred Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure:
- Master s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- Professional certifications related to postal management (e.g., Certified Mail and Distribution Systems Manager - CMDSM, Executive Mail Center Manager - EMCM).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
- Expert knowledge of postal regulations and logistics.
- Proven track record of managing complex client portfolios and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills leveraging complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
Working Conditions
Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66% each work day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
