O'Neill Healthcare North Ridgeville is looking for an experienced Admissions Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic, positive, and enjoy working with the elderly. Join the O'Neill Healthcare team that is celebrating 60 years of providing excellent senior care!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works as the primary contact and representative of the facility with Hospital Case Managers, Social Workers, Physicians, Liaisons, potential residents, and their families, before and during the admission process.
- Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the facility's decision-making process of accepting or denying all referrals for admission into the facility.
- Facilitate and coordinate daily with the Director of Nursing relevant medical information regarding potential admissions from hospitals, family members, and responsible parties on all patients admissions.
- Assist the resident and/or families to make appropriate admission decisions for rehabilitation by providing pertinent information and tours as needed.
- Respond to all phone, email, and walk-in tours and record all inquiries about the facility.
- Attend daily department head meetings updating daily census and admissions.
- Gather admission information and complete monthly reports.
- Must project a positive attitude and promote the facility and its staff/residents in a positive manner.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Attend social events and conferences as deemed necessary by the Administrator.
