What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airport Delivery Driver/Shopper position at O'Neill's Catering?
Schedule is Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting at 0600. Opportunities for more hours as needed, but that is the base mandatory schedule.
Must be 21 or older to make alcohol purchases.
Must have your own reliable form of transportation to get to our location at the South Terminal of AUS airport, then you will use our vehicle to complete the assigned tasks. We pay for all maintenance, gas and all other charges.
The driver’s primary duties are delivering all orders, shopping, maintaining delivery vehicles, and providing stellar customer service at every FBO and client location.
Driver Responsibilities and Associated Duties
Under the supervision of the General Manager, the driver will be responsible for managing the timeliness of the final product delivered to the appropriate location. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
The driver is responsible for driving safely under the laws and safety guidelines of the state(s) they drive in and for always being courteous and careful to avoid accidents and dangerous situations while on the road.
The driver is responsible for maintaining impeccably clean (inside and out) vehicles by using self-service car washes and vacuums a minimum of one time per week. This also includes removing all trash from the vehicle.
The driver will ensure that the Telematics (route tracker) signal and FOB are in working order, and will fill the gas tank before returning to the kitchen on their final run, if needed.
Under the direction of the General Manager, the drivers will maintain operationally safe vehicles by coordinating regularly scheduled and required inspections, including oil changes, tire changes/rotations, and other services as required.
The driver will carry a cell phone with the ability to use mapping GPS and to make and receive calls and texts at all times to communicate with GM/Guest Services/Chef as required or needed.
The driver will dress professionally and within the guidelines of O’Neill’s procedures, including the company-approved uniform.
Further responsibilities for the driver include picking up supplies and restaurant facilitations as needed during business hours.
All other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to take orders, follow through, and direct and work well with others in a team-driven, fast-paced environment is essential.
Individuals must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The Driver must have an excellent driving record and be able to pass an FAA on-ramp security clearance, pre-employment drug and alcohol screenings, and random drug and alcohol screenings.

The employee must lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
