Job Purpose :

The Catering Sales Representative is responsible for building local catering, brand awareness, relationships, and new revenue in all Signature / ONeills markets,with San Antonio being the home base of operations. The Catering Sales Representative will be the face, liaison, and voice of the brand, and build FBO relationships as well as local business relationships, community outreach, consistent engagement with businesses that use catering services. The CSR will organize promotional events, become a member of the local Chamber, cater to event organizations, and collect intelligence and status for all local client inflight and event engagement opportunities and business partnerships to generate monthly sales for Signature & ONeills. The CSR will develop inroads for Weddings, Corporate Conferences, Bat Mitzvahs, as well as Large Cabin, International, ground, and service catering sales opportunities; and long-term business relationships and consistent engagement with all clients by consistently visiting, calling, emailing, promoting, informing, and providing the highest level of visibility and service. The CSR will conduct these activities while ensuring that all products and services are precisely crafted and accurate to the expectations of their clients. The CSR will also prioritize existing account liaison and service duties in all guest interaction and relationships - in addition to their daily responsibilities and activities. The CSR will document and report all client interactions and report all activities, visits, actions, and results, and share with the Catering Account Director (CAD) and Director of Operations as a core responsibility in this role.

Responsibilities and Associated Duties :

The CSR position is responsible for building, managing, and developing catering sales, client relationships, and new business activities and promotions, as well as building local business relationships, consistent local visitation, offerings, sharing the latest menus, services, offerings, and promotional events within their local and regional service environment. This position recruits clients, plans and assigns sales and service work, implements service policies and procedures, documents all interactions and engagements - and recommends improvements in promotional practices, methods, promotional equipment, local engagement operating procedures, and working with local clients to build regional, national and International connections and opportunities for all ONEILLS locations worldwide. The CSR will also be accountable to verify the quality of cuisine, food presentations, timing and accuracy of menu items and to ensure events are set up as client directed and to report / log every event and appropriately request feedback, testimonials, surveys (as requested by marketing) and to recommend specific suggestions to improve Quality, Service & Performance. The CSR will also be required to have menus, business cards, promotional menus, and calendars to send monthly updates to clients and high-value information to share to build trust, loyalty, familiarity, and brand presence in all markets.

Additional Requirements :

  • Dress professionally and present himself / herself dynamically as a well-spoken, knowledgeable, affable, and engaging business owner and decision maker. Dress appropriately and within the guidelines of Company procedures, including the company-approvedbranded dress code and uniform as required.
  • Lead and build local sales and service initiatives to build event and social catering as well as Large Cabin, corporate fleet, national growth, MOAs, corporate drop-off and ground catering, social catering services and delivery partner revenue (rentals, added services such as photography, valet, design, floral) as new sources of revenue; to include sales calls, client relations visits, setting up tastings, chef demos, kitchen-to-kitchen communications, kitchen and site visits.
  • Minimum monthly sales booking of $10K per-month is required.
  • The CSR will identify and develop relationships with all local and Signature / ONeills market businesses, FBO decision makers, and ground crew members, and identify local full-service catering labor and service partners to add full-service event catering as an additional revenue stream.
  • Manage local client relationships, intelligence, brand awareness, client-facing meetings, promotions, menu tastings, and communication. Actas the Meet-On-Arrival liaison for VIP client arrivals and culinary center visits and tastings.
  • Invite local clients for lunch, coffee, local events, and will join the chamber of commerce, local business committee groups,and aviation networking groups to become the local face and champion of the brand.
  • Direct, train, oversee and develop (career and succession planning) of other Catering Sales Representatives, event staff (internal & external) drivers (service training), and coordinators and captains, and report all activities to the ONeills Director of Operations and Sales & Marketing Team through our CRM and client log / journal to document status, client and business status and activities as well as FBO staffing changes and additions.
  • Will learn how to use the Signature CRM data, work with the Signature Director and Sales team to mine data, clients, recruit new clients, and track numbers seen during visits, and communicate with national Catering partners and GMs to coordinate client orders, service needs,and menus.
  • Ensure effective client, FBO, and employee relations. Coach and develop team members regarding specific service and product needs. Check all items and client needs to ensure that they meet client expectations. Make service decisions. Resolve event, client, and FBO issues through problem resolution, reporting to Signature Sales Catering Account Director.
  • Balance quality, service, cost / retail, food safety, and service level improvements to achieve positive sales and service results in all client interactions and orders. Work to continuously improve client engagement, interaction, visitation, communication and execution to deliver on the ONEILLS Gold Standard of service.
  • Manage client Performance Execution metrics (PEs), including service and delivery controls, and provide regular progress reports to theSales Account Director (SCA) and Director of Operations.
  • Tracked, managed, and documented client visit attendance and kept records of all business clients, FBO, and local client visits and progress. Evaluate each client and order in the catering business to ensure orders can be adequately serviced.
  • Instill and maintain a service-oriented attitude in all activities and interactions, anda calm and organized approach in all situations.
  • Take orders over the phone in a proactive, positive, friendly, courteous manner and accurately enter them in the CSR or email / Fax to SCA in San Antonio & Director of Operations (DOO) via per Standard Operating Procedures. Managed last-minutechanges to orders by the clients with a smile and pleasant demeanor. Obtain various supplies as directed if making deliveries or upon return to base
  • Lead and direct all Customer Events as required, performing menu presentations, tastings, and client visits. Documentall efforts and visits in ONeills CRM for future reference.
  • Selling, servicing, and communicating with customers, as well asaccurate, timely follow-through with attention to details. Attends monthly Signature Sales department meetings (per sales / ops team) to connect, update and review plans.
  • Participate in and implement Sales and Marketing programs and promotional efforts as required.
  • Safely operate company vehicles and drive in compliance with all local and federal laws and regulations.
  • Perform computer-related services such as order entry, pricing validation and adjustments, opening mail and emailing documents as needed or directed, and preparing and applying menu item tags andidentification labels.
  • Approach and handle all customer issues with a mentality of maintaining long-term relationships with each client.
  • Meets weekly with local General Manager & Operations Manager to ensure our standards and procedures are accurately reflected in their day-to-day operations.
  • Reports monthly to Director of Operations & SCA to review progress and plans.
  • Carry company-provided telephones (if applicable) at all times and answer client calls when on duty and out of the office as needed. Communicate with local operationsand the company call center / team as required.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements :

  • Strong phone or face-to-face customer communication and service experience in catering events, aviation, food services, or hospitality industry are essential, and culinary experience is preferred.
  • Individual must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills and be proficient in email, internet use, client-facing presentation materials, and basic office software programs.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to recruit new business, cold-call market business opportunities, manage and maintain customer accounts, client visit documentation, as well as attention to detail and experience as an catering order manager in filling out BEOs and client scheduled events.
  • Supervisory and sales leadership experience required to build and maintain local market revenue.
  • Ability to manage, coach, communicate, and develop service details for delivery team to elevate quality, service, and guest experience.
  • College degree preferred. Prior knowledge of aviation terminology, FDA Regulations, and food handling preferred
  • Managerial business skillsinclude revenue-building, sales projections, sales performance reviews, client retention and promotions,and local market development.
  • college degree or equivalent combination of sales, service training, and foodservice experience is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience and 3 years of event catering, fine dining, and / or Private / Business Aviationexperience.
  • Must have an excellent driving record and be able to pass a FAA on-ramp security clearance, pre-employment,and random drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays as needed to provide client service for events as required.
