What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Lead position at O Positiv, Inc.?
Technical Lead (O Positiv, Inc., Santa Monica, CA) : Own and optimize the hiring process for new software engineers (5%); Directly manage a team of software engineers via code reviews, peer programming, whiteboarding, weekly one-onones, and bi-annual performance reviews (50%); Migrate engineering team from the Shopify liquid codebase to the Hydrogen codebase (5%); Migrate data tracking system to another system within a timely manner (5%); Present and demonstrate the needs, pros, and cons of codebase migration and site rebuild to the organization’s leaders (5%); Researching new technical tools and integrating them into existing software architecture (15%); and Manage and automate the team’s tasks on Asana (15%). Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks : Experience migrating a whole engineering team from Shopify liquid codebase to Hydrogen codebase; Experience migrating from a Recharge-hosted checkout on Shopify to Shopify & Recharge integrated checkout with less than 4 hours of downtime, from midnight to morning; Experience migrating Google Analytics Universal to Google Analytics 4 for data tracking, utilizing event tracking in Google Tag Manager; Experience building customer account portals that suggest upsell journeys based on customers' responses; Experience creating AWS functions to monitor and migrate two Klaviyo databases via their APIs; Experience writing, managing and customizing Shopify Liquid code; Experience creating and modifying Shopify Script; Experience managing multiple Shopify stores; Experience building ab tests via Visual Web Optimizer, using codebase manipulation and Visual Web Optimizer platforms; Experience with Git in both command line and GUI; Extensive knowledge of Preact, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Nodejs, GraphQL, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and SASS; Professional experience in Object Oriented Programming languages such as PHP, Java, and Ruby; Experience with Hydrogen, Webpack, Babel, Gulp, Shopify CLI, and Shopify theme; Experience with Shopify, Recharge, Klaviyo, Yotpo Review, Yotpo Loyalty, Pebble Post, Afterpay, Gorgias, Visual Web Optimizer, Hotjar, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google Merchant Center, Google Ads, and Yottaa; Experience connecting the TS loader to Babel and Webpack; Experience managing and building custom pixel integration for Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, and Google; and Experience managing and modifying DNS records on several web domains on GoDaddy.
