Job Description
As a Parts Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts, you will provide a high level of service to retail and installer customers. You will be responsible for greeting customers in a friendly and courteous manner, assisting them in their selection of merchandise, and answering phone calls according to company policy. You will also maintain and secure the cash drawer, process credit card transactions, and address customer complaints in a friendly manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences, provide outstanding customer service, and multitask handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously. Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and weatherly index system is highly desired. ASE certification and fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish, are also advantageous.
Additional Responsibilities
You will assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed. You will complete assigned company training relevant to your position and operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after corresponding training is completed and company requirements are met. Additionally, you will perform various in-store services for customers, such as installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, and scanning vehicle trouble codes. Occasionally, you may drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate.
