A Graphic Designer is responsible creating and producing marketing collateral through a wide range of digital and print mediums, including: product/price flyers, catalogs, packaging, signs, POP materials, promotional materials, landing pages, digital display ads, marketing promotions and more. This person will work with file color correction, manipulation and retouching. Managing multiple projects, adapting to changing schedules and meeting tight deadlines are necessary. Rigorous attention to detail and an overall commitment to quality is a must.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Design flyers, brochures, logos, signs, POP material, catalogs, advertisements, annual reports, advertisements, calendars, and other communication materials.
Maintain a solid knowledge of print and digital design leading practices.
Provide meaningful insights into creative design; make recommendations for improvements, new content, new initiatives, opportunities, etc. that will drive business growth.
Design assets for the Digital Marketing team as needed (ads, banner, icons, web pages, etc.).
Assist with special department projects at the direction of the Supervisors, Managers, Directors or Vice President.
Manage multiple projects and adapt to changing schedules in order to meet tight deadlines.
Rigorous attention to detail and an overall commitment to quality is a must.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:
2 years of design education/experience and/or a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design (or related field) with emphasis on publication design and electronic media
Thorough knowledge of desktop publishing software and the Adobe Creative Cloud software suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Must be comfortable working in a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system
Must be comfortable working with Creative Workflow software
Must be well-versed in digital design trends and best practices
Experience researching and implementing new technologies
Demonstrate willingness and ability to be innovative in both design and process
Good communication skills and the ability to listen actively and ask questions to clarify project goals, requirements and deadlines
Strong technical acumen and ability to act as a liaison between Marketing and Creative Services departments
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Ability to manage projects, be organized and set clear priorities
Proactive, self-starter who is comfortable in a team oriented work environment
Knowledge of digital photography and digital file manipulation
Desired:
Knowledge of web and sheet fed printing, pre-press processes and procedures
This is primarily a Print Design position, but a Digital Media Design skillset would be helpful
Knowledgeable about the web and emerging technologies
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 years of experience in Web Design
Automotive knowledge
