Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and mentor housekeeping staff, including hiring, motivation, and performance evaluations.
- Assist General Manager in developing the department’s annual budget and monitor performance against the plan.
- Establish and maintain cost control systems for staffing, inventories, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with OHM and brand policies and procedures.
- Maintain room quality and cleanliness based on hotel objectives.
- Schedule staff according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms, and public areas.
- Report accurate status of guest rooms to the front office.
- Enforce standard procedures for lost and found items.
- Support team member recognition and engagement programs.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
- Ability to work well with and motivate diverse personalities.
- Comfortable with multitasking and prioritization.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education & Experience:
- Two years’ experience as an assistant executive housekeeper and two years housekeeping experience in a commercial environment in a supervisory capacity preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year in a Housekeeping role; hotel experience preferred.
- Minimum of High School education or GED, Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
Work Conditions:
- Inside work environment, not substantially exposed to adverse conditions.
