Essential Responsibilities:
- Supervise front office staff: recruit, hire, train, evaluate performance, and develop team members.
- Maintain OHM and brand standards of service quality, ensuring guest needs are met with world-class service.
- Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses, maximizing profitability for the guest services department.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to enhance profitability and guest satisfaction.
- Attend and participate in property revenue meetings, contributing to revenue maximization.
- Develop short-term and long-term financial and operational plans for the front office department.
- Support front office operations to maximize revenue per available room (RevPar) and overall profitability.
- Maintain procedures for cash, credit control, financial transactions, and guest security.
- Manage reputation management, responding to guest reviews and concerns promptly.
- Schedule team according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.
- Ensure staff is trained to provide world-class guest service and support recognition and engagement programs.
- Manage in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
- Experience with relevant brand-specific Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Ability to work well with and motivate diverse personalities.
- Comfortable with a high level of visibility and leadership role within the hotel and community.
- Able to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
Education & Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Management, or Business preferred.
- Two years of supervisory experience, one year of line-level experience, or equivalent education and experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for long periods.
- Light work: occasional exertion of up to 40 pounds of force to move objects.
- May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds occasionally.
Work Conditions:
- Inside work environment, not substantially exposed to adverse conditions.
