Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervise front office staff: recruit, hire, train, evaluate performance, and develop team members.
  • Maintain OHM and brand standards of service quality, ensuring guest needs are met with world-class service.
  • Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses, maximizing profitability for the guest services department.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to enhance profitability and guest satisfaction.
  • Attend and participate in property revenue meetings, contributing to revenue maximization.
  • Develop short-term and long-term financial and operational plans for the front office department.
  • Support front office operations to maximize revenue per available room (RevPar) and overall profitability.
  • Maintain procedures for cash, credit control, financial transactions, and guest security.
  • Manage reputation management, responding to guest reviews and concerns promptly.
  • Schedule team according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.
  • Ensure staff is trained to provide world-class guest service and support recognition and engagement programs.
  • Manage in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
  • Experience with relevant brand-specific Property Management Systems (PMS).
  • Ability to work well with and motivate diverse personalities.
  • Comfortable with a high level of visibility and leadership role within the hotel and community.
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Management, or Business preferred.
  • Two years of supervisory experience, one year of line-level experience, or equivalent education and experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for long periods.
  • Light work: occasional exertion of up to 40 pounds of force to move objects.
  • May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds occasionally.

Work Conditions:

  • Inside work environment, not substantially exposed to adverse conditions.
