Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform minor maintenance activities using hand tools
- Replace air-conditioner filters and notify management of major repairs
- Respond to guest requests for service and maintain clean and safe areas
- Maintain equipment with preventative maintenance procedures
- Keep records of equipment maintenance and repair
- Program HVAC controller according to facility schedule
- Maintain quality of appearance of interior and exterior of the facility
- Paint walls, trim, and doors and repair wallpaper, carpet, and doors
- Keep inventory of finishing supplies needed in the facility
- Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies
- Inspect and repair minor problems in common areas
- Learn emergency procedures and ensure safe operation of equipment
- Know and comply with all company policies and procedures
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
- Ability to motivate team members and maintain tact and diplomacy
- Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities
- Sound knowledge of all aspects of the facility and services offered
- Comfortable with high visibility and leadership roles
Education & Experience:
- Certificate from a Vocational Institution and completion of apprenticeship in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repair preferred
- Current Driver’s License required
Hours:
- Flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Physical activities include climbing, stooping, standing, walking, etc.
Work Environment:
- Inside and outside work environment with exposure to hazards
- Occasional work in close quarters or small enclosed rooms
