Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform minor maintenance activities including painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Replace air-conditioner filters and tend to furnace, air-conditioner, and boiler.
- Respond to guest requests for service and coordinate activities with other hotel departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of pool area.
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and maintain inventory of supplies.
- Ensure quality appearance of interior and exterior of hotel.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver results.
- Comfortable working with a variety of personality types and maintaining tact and diplomacy.
- Certificate from a Vocational Institution and completion of apprenticeship in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repair preferred.
Hours:
- Flexibility to work adjusted schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Responsible for responding to emergencies on nights and/or weekends.
Physical Requirements:
- Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
- Physical activities include climbing, stooping, kneeling, walking, lifting, and repetitive motion.
Environmental Conditions:
- Subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
- May be exposed to hazards such as moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and exposure to chemicals.
- May require occasional work in close quarters and narrow passageways.
