Essential Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and verify guests' age prior to serving alcohol.
- Take guest food and drink orders, suggesting menu items and answering questions.
- Initiate and maintain appropriate conversations with guests.
- Serve guests responsibly, adhering to company, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure food/drink items exceed guest satisfaction.
- Anticipate guest needs and maintain bar cleanliness.
- Answer phone for call-in orders when necessary.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following company recipes.
- Enter orders in the POS system and process payment for guest checks.
- Set up bar for daily operation and maintain stock of supplies.
- Clean and sterilize glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Follow company policies and procedures and embrace company culture initiatives.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
- Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deliver results and work well with diverse personalities.
- Multitasking and prioritization skills.
Hours:
- Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education & Experience:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Prior bartending experience preferred.
- Certification to serve alcohol as required by state and local laws.
Physical Requirements:
- Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Requires walking or standing.
- May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds occasionally.
Physical Activity:
- Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
Environmental Conditions:
- Inside work environment with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
