O’Rourke Sales Company is currently seeking an experienced Director of Sales to help lead our appliance sales team. We need a self-motivated professional with proven managerial experience and an outstanding track record in sales. In this position, you will be responsible for meeting our annual sales targets within assigned regions and accounts.
Job Summary:
Your duties will include motivating our sales team, executing strategic sales plans, assessing costs and competition, and other duties assigned by management. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional sales and leadership skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate staff to improve customer service with clients.
- Implement strategic plans to reach sales targets.
- Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow customer loyalty.
- Manage Key accounts across US.
- Travel into sales territories with territory sales managers to meet with customers.
- Develop and promote weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives.
- Draft detailed and accurate sales reports.
- Work with customers to better understand their business needs and goals.
- Assess the industry, competition, and supply and demand to identify opportunities.
- Estimate sales volume and profit for current and new products.
- Establish a sales training program to train new employees.
- Secure and communicate industry comparative analysis and market intelligence for the appliance channel.
- Meet with sales managers to assess company performance.
- Assist the SVP of Sales with a variety of projects and tasks
- Report on sales results (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually)
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a relevant field preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices.
- Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel nationwide on a monthly basis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Individual must be able to thrive in a team environment and demonstrate an ability to generate innovative ideas.
