We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Front Desk Employee to join our team during our busy season. This role is responsible for providing excellent guest service, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle guest inquiries efficiently.
Position will be part time hours for training until Mid May when full time schedule starts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Handle guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the hotel’s booking system.
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, room availability, and local attractions.
- Process payments, including cash, credit card transactions, and invoices.
- Address guest concerns and resolve complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure guest requests are met.
- Uphold hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for guests.
- Provide information about our property, available rooms, rates and amenities as well as local area attractions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and phone etiquette.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- A friendly, positive attitude with a professional appearance.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Have knowledge about local area and nearby attractions.
Schedule: Variable shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Our office hours are 9am-9pm so shifts will be between those times.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS
Candidates must live locally and have reliable transportation.
Previous hotel experience is preferred but will train the right person. Pay is based on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
