Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for coordinating guest events, managing facility operations, and providing administrative support. The ideal candidate must have experience in customer service, event planning, and basic bookkeeping. This role reports directly to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee events hosted at the Oahu Veterans Center.
- Manage event logistics, including scheduling, setup, and breakdown.
- Process invoices and payments using QuickBooks.
- Maintain accurate financial records related to events and facility rentals.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, veterans, and partner organizations.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform basic facility maintenance to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
- Utilize Google Office Suite and Windows operating systems for administrative tasks.
- Maintain knowledge of Veteran Service Organizations to assist guests and support center initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for invoicing and payment processing.
- Strong computer literacy, including Google Office Suite and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in event coordination or facility management is preferred.
- Knowledge of Veteran Service Organizations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
