Job Summary:
Oak City Academy is seeking a Development Coordinator to support the Advancement Team in achieving fundraising and community engagement goals. This role involves donor relations, event coordination, administrative support, and collaboration with marketing and enrollment teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about Christian education.
Key Responsibilities:Advancement & Donor Relations
- Assist in donor research, stewardship, and tracking contributions.
- Manage donor communications, including thank-you letters, emails, and newsletters.
- Support fundraising campaigns (annual giving, capital campaigns, special projects).
- Organize donor appreciation events, volunteer gatherings, and community outreach.
- Process and track donations, ensuring accurate records.
Event Coordination
- Plan and manage logistics for fundraising and school events.
- Coordinate scheduling, vendor communication, and event execution.
- Serve as a liaison between development, enrollment, and marketing teams.
Administrative Support
- Maintain donor databases and advancement project deadlines.
- Assist the Advancement Director with scheduling, meeting coordination, and reports.
- Print, design, and prepare materials for advancement initiatives.
- Manage hospitality needs, including meal orders and supply runs.
Qualifications:
- Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and Oak City Academy’s mission.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with experience in development, marketing, or event coordination.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, donor management software (e.g., HubSpot), and design tools (e.g., Canva).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism under pressure.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Occasional evening or weekend events required.
- Light to medium lifting for event setup (tables, chairs, supplies).
- Some local errands (e.g., supply pickups, meal coordination).
