Summary
Work as part of the Ministry Advancement team to develop the visual aspects of communication strategy, content development and brand identity and expression, supporting the Church's mission and ministry program needs by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(Other duties may be assigned)
- Participate in an annual strategic marketing planning session to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to maximize membership, ministry and revenue growth for OCBF and affiliate organizations.
- Provide visual solutions for the promotional needs of ministries using a blend of creative skills and marketing awareness.
- Develop layout and production design for various communication materials (flyers, annual reports, brochures, presentations, brand trademarks, billboards, publication ads, banners, posters, postcards, t-shirts, etc.)
- Create, maintain and enforce brand style guides for OCBF and its affiliates.
- Work with the Digital Media Coordinator in developing digital content for email, text and mobile app marketing and social media channels.
- Work with the department's contractors for graphic and web design to create visually compelling communication materials for events, programs, annual reports and marketing campaigns.
- Assist in coordinating webpage maintenance, ensuring ministry web pages, events calendar, and career postings are current and web links are working.
- Remain current with the tools used by the graphics and web design communities, including HTML tags, browser specifications, graphic utilities and programs, etc.
- Interact in a professional, courteous and timely manner with the Church's ministries on their communication and promotional needs as part of the Spirit of the Ministry.
- Work closely with the Ministry Advancement team to keep abreast of all OCBF church and affiliates' events and programs for proper scheduling, assignment, and management.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the communications team to improve synergy and enhance creativity in assigned projects.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in continuing education courses, professional organizations, seminars and workshops, reading current literature and maintaining professional contacts in the community.
- Provide additional duties as required to support the efforts of the department.
- Perform in a manner that strengthens the coordination of all organizational components of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church and its affiliates and the Ministry Advancement Department.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent in graphic design, visual arts or the equivalent; two years direct responsibility for multi-faceted marketing program; strong working knowledge of marketing and design; experience with a variety of computer graphics and desktop publishing programs; familiarity with web design standards; excellent communication skills (clean, articulate, and professional in speaking and writing). The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of community resources.
