Job Summary:
PetVet is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Assistant to join our team at Oak Grove Animal Hospital. As a key member of our kennel support team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and service to our patients and their owners.
About the Role:
This is a strenuous job that requires a lot of lifting, cleaning, and constant motion. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital, assisting veterinarians and technicians with pet restraint, and providing patients with fresh, clean bedding when appropriate. Additionally, you will be required to walk patients according to schedule, understand and carry out oral and written directions, and remain professional and courteous to clients and co-workers while handling multiple tasks at once with many interruptions.

Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED
* Some experience working at a kennel or animal hospital preferred
* Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors
* Must be flexible with scheduling and able to work weekends, overnights, and holidays
