Oak Grove School District has a total student enrollment of approximately 8,800 students from grades TK-8. We have 18 school campuses along with a TK-8 Virtual Learning Academy (VLA). Six out of eighteen schools receive Title I funds. The size of the schools range from approximately 730 students to 270 students. The percentage of English Learners is 29% representing 56 languages spoken in the District.
Oak Grove School District's focus is driven by the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) and school site-specific SPSA (Single Plan for Student Achievement) which identifies short, intermediate, and long-term goals. Job Description / Essential Elements :
Provide occupational therapy treatment to special needs students enrolled in the educational programs of the Oak Grove School District. This job class is responsible for individual treatment to improve specific areas of sensory motor integrative dysfunction. This job class administers pediatric occupational therapy assessments to determine a student's level of skill development, sensory motor integration, self-care and activities of daily living. Employees in this job class receive limited supervision from a district school administrator or disignee and will consult and provide therapy in a variety of classroom and school settings at more than one site, with many different IEP team members, within a framework of special education policies and procedures.
Required qualifications include : Graduate of a certified Occupational Therapy program receiving a minimum of a BA / BS degree; Nationally Board Certified as a Registered Occupational Therapist; and possess independent clinical judgment, well-developed communication skills, and the ability to work in a variety of settings.
