What are the responsibilities and job description for the STEP Paraeducator position at Oak Grove School?
STEP Paraeducator
Oak Grove School in Brattleboro, Vermont has an immediate opening for a paraeducator in our Supportive Teams for Educational Progress (STEP) for the 2024-2025 school year. Candidates for this position will be responsible for following a behavior plan, written by a BCBA, to support students behaviorally, socially, and emotionally, as well as provide some academic support when needed. Applicants with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential, highly preferred.
Qualified applicants for this position will have two years of college level education, preferably in the area of early childhood or elementary education. Candidates should have an ability to support behavioral and social skill development in a general education environment, and strong communication, problem solving and collaborative skills. Previous experience with Applied Behavior Analysis in a school or home setting is highly preferred. Qualified candidates will also demonstrate a willingness and ability to complete Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training.
Wage grade 4, Pay range: $18.81-$25.71, 191 days per year, 6.67 hours per day
