Oak Grove Technologies is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Range Specialist to join our team at Ft. Moore, GA (formerly Ft. Benning). As a Range Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing range operations, ensuring the safe and efficient use of training areas and facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the organization and support the training needs of law enforcement personnel.
Position is contingent upon contract being awarded.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as range management point of contact with Fort Moore Range control to schedule, open, and close ranges daily to support training operations.
- Maintain communications to Fort Moore Range Control via RIFMIS system or any designated system to schedule the ranges for utilization for safe and orderly range operations.
- Manage an inventory of range materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Prepare ranges, target systems, and training supplies for daily training missions.
- Transport range ammunition and supplies to training locations.
- Submit usage or expenditure reports.
- Operate and Maintain range target systems.
- Cleaning the range lanes of used and unused supplies, expended brass, cotton wads, and other training debris.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working as a Range Master or similar role is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of range operations, safety protocols, and training procedures.
- Familiarity with law enforcement training requirements and regulations is a plus.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including standing, walking, and lifting heavy equipment.
