RN/LPN Position Summary
Registered Nurses, or RNs, and Licensed Practical Nurses, or LPNs direct the function of our nursing staff. Registered Nurses/ Licensed Practical Nurses effectively communicate with residents, families, physicians, and other care staff to ensure the optimal wellbeing of the resident. RNs administer professional nursing services, including setting up and passing medications, observing the five rights of medication administration, monitoring for medication effects and/or interactions, participating in resident care planning, recognizing and identifying changes in resident’s condition, responsibly communicating and providing routine and non-emergent care to residents. RNs are an essential part of our community, providing the best life and care for our residents.
RN/LPN Job Qualifications and Requirements
Completion of a nursing program at an accredited school of nursing.
At least one year of experience in nursing care in a similar setting is preferred.
Possession of a current Florida nursing license
Valid Driver’s License
Must have excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively to staff, residents, families, and community members
Must have effective supervisory skills with the ability to participate in clinical and administrative decision making based on established policies and procedures
Must be empathetic, energetic and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population
All applicants must complete and pass a Level II Background Check and Drug Screening
