FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Seven years working experience as a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician
- Licensed electrician in Washington State preferred
- Qualified to dispose, recover and install refrigerants
- Working knowledge of Alerton Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems or similar Energy Management Control System (EMCS)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
GENERAL FUNCTIONS :
8.0 hours per day (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch period) for 260 days per year performing maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Serves as the Resource Control Manager. Will monitor energy use, utilities, recycling and waste for all buildings using efficient methods or equipment to reduce waste; assist in selection of new equipment or projects; may oversee contractors ensuring proper performance of new equipment; will speak in technical terms in public forums. Position is on call for HVAC emergencies, which requires travel between work sites. HVAC Manager pay level begins at $41.77 per hour.
