Employee Dining Room Attendant - Part Time

Job Description: Provide courteous and prompt service for co-workers in a friendly efficient manner. Maintain a clean, well stocked buffet and dining room to include all food, plates and utensils. Ensure all unused food is properly maintained. Maintain all tables as needed, ensuring all stocking duties are completed.

Job Requirements:

• Provides a warm and friendly greeting and farewell to employees.
• Providing an exceptional service experience by adhering to Oak Hill Employee Dining Room service standards, providing excellent employee experience throughout
• Before and after shift; sets/breaks down EDR and buffet, cleans equipment and stores in appropriate space, cleans and organizes EDR, buffet and storage areas.
• Housekeeping Responsibilities:
  • Take chairs off tables at beginning of shift and clean/sanitize daily
  • Promptly clean, sanitize and clear all tables throughout shift.
• • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of employee dining room and back of house spaces (bathrooms).
  • Communicate stock needs to housekeeping manager for cleaning supplies.
  • Empties wastebaskets and trashcans in the EDR consistently throughout shift. Communicating needs with Stewards for assistance if needed.
  • Wipes all windowsills, walls, and light switches.
  • Checks lamps for burned-out light bulbs.
  • Wipes mirrors and windows.
  • Wipes down sink, and fixtures as needed.
  • Restock staff sanitization stations/areas.
  • Sanitizes all necessary areas throughout day.
  • Cleans walls, baseboards, and floor of EDR
  • Restocks towels, soap, and other supplies and amenities in employee restrooms as needed in conjunction with housekeeping staff.
  • Mopping daily at end of shift.
  • Dishwashing as needed. If/when the EDR converts to real flatware and silverware, EDR Attendant will be responsible for washing those items.
  • Maintains cleanliness of employee locker and timeclock area.

• Food Related Responsibilities:
  • Work with culinary staff to obtain buffet stock and replenish buffet items throughout shift. Maintain heating lamps and stenos as needed.
• Ensure buffet items are maintained at proper temperature and freshness; update temperature log as required throughout shift, confer with culinary personnel if temperature/freshness is outside established guidelines and act a directed.
• Stock and fill bread items as needed and check for freshness daily.
• At end of shift, cover, date and neatly store reusable leftover products in the buffet unit.
• Washes and stores all containers and serving utensils for salad bar.
• Monitor beverage station and machine for cleanliness, ice levels and product. Communicate with Stewarding staff for assistance with lifting ice buckets. Work with beverage department if the soda or carbonation needs refilling.
• Keep condiment containers cleaned and filled. Communicate with culinary staff when back stock is low for ordering.
• Familiarize yourself with our employee food and beverage options.
• Ensure plates and plastic ware is fully stocked at all times throughout shift. Advise Culinary staff when back stock is low for ordering.
• Ensure napkin holders are always filled and cleaned.
• Communicate and work in conjunction with the culinary staff as needed to maintain lunch buffet food.
• Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices including those related to personal hygiene.
• Use sanitizers for all surfaces every two hours in the EDR.
• Assists with employee events in the EDR as needed.
• Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness.
• Attend meetings to learn shift particulars, and all other required meetings/trainings.
• Consistently follow laws and the club's policies.
In addition, other duties may be required as directed by management.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to continuously sit, stand and walk a minimum of 8 hours.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, push and pull over the course of a shift.
• Must be able to periodically lift and carry up to 30 pounds over the course of a shift.
• All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Oak Hill's appearance standards.
• Will be occasionally required to perform job functions outdoors and be exposed to sun, heat, humidity and other elements.
• Must be able to work a flexible shift that includes early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and extended shifts.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from work.
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.

Qualifications:

Education: High school or equivalent education required.

Experience:

• Previous restaurant or culinary experience preferred.
Country club experience strongly preferred.

Licenses & Certificates:

• Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.

Scheduled Shifts:

• Part-time, year-round position.
