Oak Hill is seeking an Administrative Assistant to work Monday-Friday 8a-4p. This position will support Oak Hill Schools in effectively facilitating and streamlining efficient administrative operations in meeting with the Agency’s over-arching mission in supporting students with disabilities in achieving independence and improving their quality of life.
Requirements
- Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent and experience and/or training required.
- Proficiency in taking accurate notes required.
- Computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated excellence in word processing skills.
- Excellent skills in grammar, punctuation, spelling and formatting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Complies with Oak Hill's rules, regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to staff in general, and the position of Administrative Assistant in particular, by becoming familiar with and adhering to regulations, policies and procedures.
- Provides administrative support to the Education Department by producing and managing information including word processing, formatting, inputting, editing, and copying; preparing reports.
- Maintains communication by routing correspondence; collecting information; initiating telecommunications.
- Welcomes guests and staff by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.
- Provides information by answering questions and requests.
- Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems; recording meeting discussions.
- Maintains department office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; evaluating new office products; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Maintains staff confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
