Oak Hill is seeking a Director of Behavioral Services to provide leadership, oversight, and support for behavior specialists and related clinical teams. This position designs and monitors interventions for individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health diagnoses, employing principles of Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This role aligns with the organization's mission, focusing on person-centered, evidence-based practices to improve client outcomes and team effectiveness

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, or Social Work (required).
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or licensed independent practitioner in counseling, psychology, or social work (e.g., LCSW).
• Qualified Provider status or eligibility through DDS process.
• Expertise in behavioral intervention strategies, Positive Behavior Supports, and ABA.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for DDS, DCF, DPH, and DMHAS.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in teaching and training behavioral techniques to staff.
  
  

Duties And Responsibilities

• Oversee creation and revision of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavioral Support Plans (BSP).
• Ensure regulatory compliance with state agencies (e.g., DDS, DCF, DMHAS).
• Facilitate data-driven decision-making and conduct/supervise Functional Analyses as needed.
• Partner with psychiatric service providers to monitor psychotropic medication efficacy.
• Collaborate with social workers, psychologists, and therapists to address behavioral health needs.
• Facilitate communication with Planning and Support Teams, families, and guardians.
• Supervise Behavior Specialists, Clinical Response Team, and Clinical Response Coordinator.
• Provide training and in-service education on behavioral intervention strategies.
• Oversee data collection, analysis, and preparation of quarterly and annual behavioral reports.
• Present findings to Planning and Support Teams and external stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment with DDS, DCF, DPH, and DMHAS regulations.
• Supervise the Community Response Team in providing clinical assessment and treatment plans.
• Ensure emergency protocols and physical management techniques are implemented effectively.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Administrator of Community Programs.
